Fox news, keeping it real. Also DC area stations are stuck in the 70s and 80s with their set designs, graphics, etc. Always felt like I was in a small-ass burg when I flipped on local news.

Meanwhile, that fucking moron replying to you, not understanding that "performance" is a broad term meaning desirable behavior and characteristics...
I mean, he's not wrong in that cornering force produced by the weight of the vehicle is in equal measure to the amount needed to redirect its mass through cornering or braking, but that's not all there is - even assuming that the conditions favor Newtonian friction at all. It's very possible for a heavy vehicle to have better weight transfer characteristics or any number of other things than a light one when, say, the degree of penetration into substrate affects available control force in a non-Newtonian way. Like, I don't fucking know, snow?

That guy.....holy hell.

ALL FRICTION IS NEWTONIAN SO LIGHT CARS ARE MAGICALLY BETTER SOMETIMES ALWAYS - I DECLARE IT.
-signed, Emperor Pompatus LeCretin
I mean, the weight of a car is directly related to the friction force it makes, so light cars are always better? That's, honestly, self-contradictory. He almost got the right answer, but he's going to need to show his work, in front of the class.

That's all I'm asking for...ever.

To be clear, I sometimes think you're being a thickie on this or that topic (or at least inarticulate), but I would never descend to abuse based on explaining something to you in simpler terms than you have just explained it , and *then* calling you an idiot to boot . You didn't really quite explain what you meant, but he quite honestly didn't deserve anything but ridicule. Because total shitmeister.

I am a thickie because I'm a comms major. I'm just stoked I know how to spell Mu. I desperately wish my brain knew how to understand math.

Which is why I usually drop to analogy/visual description. It's (broadly) a better way to communicate most of the time. I've tutored one of my younger brothers in algebra a good bit vs. quite a struggle.

It turns out I may be dyscalculic which, had i know in college, I probably would have taken the meds and stayed in Mech Eng.

I have some number processing difficulties, but oddly, they seem to be related to transcription. Mixing up digits, inability to remember numbers, and the like. I have no idea shuffling the "idea" of numbers once I have them properly processed, but read/write operations sometimes get fsked. I was (very well) self-taught in mathematics up until college, and the shift to full-on classroom settings for calculus nearly ruined me - rote repetition just didn't work right. I muddled through, though (after taking every calc class twice in the process) and got out with my BSME.
As an illustration for lack of difficulty in the "idea" of numbers, I can keep a whole dungeons and dragons character and their stats/skills/etc. in my head. It's just a question of getting it there. If it originated there, no sweat.

same story, I can remember numbers but that are work. once I do. Thing that kill me though is the map reading and the time reading things
